BHS 2025 Grad Night Details

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is Grad Night?

Grad Night is a parent planned and run event to ensure that Senior students spend their graduation night in a safe and fun environment where their hard work and dedication to their education can be celebrated.

  • Why is Grad Night important?

According to The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, traffic collisions are the number one killer of teenagers in America. Nationally about 5,000 teens will die in automobile collisions and about ten percent of those deaths are in California alone.  Our goal is to have all of our senior students spend their graduation night in a safe and alcohol/drug-free environment. Grad Night succeeds because it is so much fun that our teens would rather come to the Grad party than go to other parties where alcohol & drugs are prevalent.

  • I don't want to miss out on my senior student's Grad Night event. How do I get involved?

That’s easy! Sign up to volunteer.  Click on "Volunteer" from the main menu to learn more about volunteeromg or choose the email button in the upper right hand corner to send an email to our planning crew.  There are many, many jobs that need to be filled.  Some only take 1 hour.

  • What will my student be doing all night?

The fun starts at 10:00 pm and continues until 2:30 am.  Parents have worked very hard to ensure there is plenty of entertainment for everyone!

  • What should my student bring to the event?

    • PHOTO ID for party check-in (driver's license or school ID).
    • Wear comfortable shoes and clothing - students will be active!
  • What NOT to bring to the event.

    • DRUGS/ALCOHOL. If a student is suspected of using drugs or alcohol, they will not be allowed to board the bus. If already at the party, parents and/or police will be called. Security will be onsite.
    • PURSES, BAGS OR BACKPACKS. Again, students will be given a large, clear plastic bag for your swimsuit, etc.
    • FOOD/BEVERAGES. There will be plenty of food and beverages at the party. Gluten free and vegetarian options avaialable. NO PERSONAL WATER BOTTLES ALLOWED.
    • MONEY. Not needed. Student ticket price covers all food, transportation and activities.
    • CELL PHONES, APPLE WATCHES, COMMUNICATION DEVICES OF ANY TYPE. Leave them with parents. If students insist on bringing devices, they will need to give up their devices at check-in. Devices will be securely stored during the party, and returned to them upon departure.
  • How does my senior get to Grad Night?

We HIGHLY recommend that senior students be dropped off and picked up @ BHS at times indicated.  In the past, parents have carpooled to make drop off and pick up more efficient.  Students are usually very tired at the end of the night.  Driving home from BHS after the event is not recommended.

  • Who will be supervising my senior student?

Senior parent volunteers will be supervising students inside and outside the venue.

  • What if my graduate becomes ill?

There are areas for those that need a power nap or need to take a break to decompress.  Students can rest in lounge chairs. There is also a medical first aid area if they feel ill.  If a student needs to go home, their parents are called and only THEIR PARENTS MAY PICK THEM UP even if they are 18.  Should the student choose to leave and is not ill, they will forfeit the Grad Night prizes they have won and will not be eligible for the Grand Prize drawings.

  • Other Important Information

    • Parents/Guardians of no-shows will be informed ASAP via contact info provided that student has not arrived to attend the party.
    • No one may leave the party venue unless a parent/guardian has made advance arrangement. If a student leaves, they will not be able to return to the party.
  • Can I purchase a window/lawn sign as a stand alone item?

Yes, there is an opportunity to purchase window/yard signs on the registration site.  Go back to the home page on this site and click "register here".
